The design table at this location has a large skylight bringing in natural light to enhance the custom framing experience. We are an artist owned and managed custom framing store using archival conservation quality materials and UV blocking glazing products. Photo and painting restoration services are also available.

Welcome! Alexandria Picture Framing Company is a locally owned framing store run by artists for not only other artists, but the general public as well. Upon immediately entering the big space inside our shop lets you know this is no ordinary framing shop. Owner Soung Lee opened the store in 1984 in a large roadhouse in Old Town Alexandria just off King Street. Soung is considered a master a multiple opening mats. And, leading interior designers in need of quality custom framing frequently turn to us. Rush and all-day service is available when necessary. Soung S Lee – Owner
Soung has over 30 years experience as a framing specialist and designer. He is a fine artist specializing in lithographs and was formerly a print making instructor at the University of Maryland.

Karen J Schmitz – Manager Of Alexandria Picture Company
Karen is an active local artist who exhibits at the Art League Gallery in the Torpedo Factory and specializes in monotypes. She has 25 years experience as a framing specialist and designer. Considered an art hanging specialist, she is also an award winning contemporary artist.

Joyce Crandall – Manager Of Art Unlimited (New Location)
Joyce has 30 years experience as a framing specialist and designer. In 1997, she received her CPF (Certified Picture Framer) credentials. She is also an accomplished French matting designer.
